In 2005, Warner Bros. released a film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory under the direction of Tim Burton. The film stars Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka and Freddie Highmore as Charlie Bucket, the poor boy who won a chocolate factory.

As mentioned in the previous post, the film follows the book story closely save for some additions. This is very different from the 1964 version entitled Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilde for the title role.

Most of the music used were revisions from the old film and where really upbeat, to which my kids enjoy singing to. The theme music is naturally very much Tim Burton.
